DME and Medicare
For most people, the cost of healthcare is a significant concern. Fortunately, Medicare Part B covers durable medical equipment when the equipment has been deemed medically necessary by your prescribing practitioner and meets other required criteria.
Depending on your medical need, you may be covered for equipment rental or purchase of the equipment. Whether you rent or purchase, Medicare pays 80% and you may be responsible for 20% of the cost of the equipment, unless you have a supplemental insurance. Medicaid or a Medicare supplement may pay all or a portion of your out-of-pocket cost.
At Avritt Medical Equipment we accept Medicare and most other insurances. Our team will work proactively with your prescribing practitioner and insurance carrier on your behalf to get your needed equipment and services covered.
